Maia could barely believe what she saw as she raised her eyes from the reflection in the water. She gasped as she walked through the arch into a perfect view. Sure it was the view everyone saw in typical pictures of the Taj Mahal, but she finally understood why people rushed from all over the world to see this structure. A gentle yet fierce sense hung in the air all around the large expanse of land. The land surrounding the sight was filled with people, awestruck by what they could see. Not a spot was empty. Not everyone gets to see what I am seeing right now. I am fortunate enough to be able to see and cherish this place. Maia thought, still stuck under its spell. Through the fog and haze of Agra, India, Maia squinted at the pure whiteness and beauty of the Taj Mahal.
